Dorothy Porter

Dorothy Porter, 97 of Meadville, passed away on July 31, 2024, at Keystone Villa in Ephrata, PA.

Dorothy was born in Meadville on October 21, 1926, to the late Frank and Kathryn (Schmitt) Smith. She was employed by First National Bank and PNC Bank for many years in Meadville.

Dorothy married her beloved husband, Donald E. Porter on June 29, 1947, he preceded her in death on August 7, 2014. She and her husband were devoted members of St. Paul’s Reformed Church, Meadville.

Left to cherish her memory are her nieces: Patricia (Dan) Hall of Denver, PA; Joanne (Joseph) Anderton of Hagerstown, MD; and Nancy (Charles) Braymera of Orefield, PA, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. – MEADVILLE, 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville, where visitation will be from 10:30 am – 11 am on Monday, August 5. A funeral service will take place at 11 am with Rev. Nathan Alsdorf, officiating.

Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery.
