Irene M. Lang

Irene M. Lang, 91, of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died Saturday, May 20, 1995, at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.  She had been a resident at Wesbury since 1986.

She was born September 7, 1903, in Coraopolis, PA, a daughter of Henry and Lena Kuhn DeGrange.  She married J. Wesley Lang July 10, 1929.  He preceded her in death September 18, 1990.

She was a graduate of Saegertown Public Schools and Meadville Commercial College.  For several years, she worked as a secretary at Keystone View Co. and First National Bank.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and Meadville Lioness Club.

Survivors include two sons, John W. (Jack) Lang of Meadville and Robert H. Lang of Surfside Beach, SC; a sister, Edna Wightman of Hendersonville, NC; a brother, Dr. Harold DeGrange of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, A.J. (Chick) DeGrange.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Saegertown Cemetery.
