A. Maude Miller

Miss A. Maude Miller, 89, of Meadville, died Wednesday, January 1, 1969, at Mead Nursing Home after a long illness.

In her early years, she was a noted piano and voice music teacher in the Meadville area and she directed a number of choirs.  An active member of Stone United Methodist Church prior to her illness, Miss Miller was superintendent of its junior Sunday school department for a number of years.  She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega musical sorority.

Miss Miller was born near Conneaut Lake June 14, 1879, a daughter of Alonso and Jennie Waters Miller.  A brother, the late Frank P. Miller, was a former state senator and president of McCrosky Tool Corp.

Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Robert N. (Virginia) Shaffer of San Francisco.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Conneaut Lake.
