Alfred W. “Al” Wareham, Stoneboro, Pa, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, (11-21-25) of natural causes. He was 76.
Born September 23, 1949 in Grove City, Pa, he was a son of Floyd E. and E. Ruth Perrine Wareham.
Al was a 1968 Lakeview High School graduate and then enlisted into the US Army and served in Vietnam. He was a proud Veteran.
He had worked at Joy Manufacturing as a welder and the became a self-employed contractor for many years. He was a hard worker and could fix anything and make it work. He was especially known as someone who always jumped in to help friends and family.
Al enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid coon hunter and also deer hunter. He was a member of The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a Lifetime Member of the NRA. He loved taking walks in the woods, especially with his grandsons. He was a loyal follower of his grandsons sporting events. Most of all he loved his family and saw a great value in keeping family first.
He married his sweetheart, the former Patricia K. Woods, on December 31, 1968 and she survives at home. Also surviving are a daughter Lori K. (Eric) Uber, Stoneboro and a son Jeffrey A. Wareham, Wilmington, North Carolina, two grandsons: Derick Uber and his companion Haylie Zaldivar and Kyle Uber and his companion Gillian Misinay. Also surviving is a sister, Joan Freeland, Sandy Lake.
Preceded in death by: his parents, a sister, Joyce Wareham, and three brothers: Tom, Ron and Denny Wareham. Also, his furry side-by-side riding partner, Spike.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, PA 16153, where family and friends are welcome on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Virginia Lavan-Gadsby, officiating. Full Military Honors will be rendered by The VETS Honor Guard at the beginning of the funeral service.
