Alice Mae Hopkins
May 2, 1910 — May 10, 1985
Alice Mae Hopkins, 75, of Meadville, died at Wesbury United Methodist Community Hospital Friday, May 10, 1985, after a period of failing health.
She was born in Troy Township, Crawford County, May 2, 1910, a daughter of Kelly U. and Nellie E. Dempsey Proper. She married Stephen G. Hopkins February 22, 1928. He preceded her in death.
She was employed as a practical nurse at Hillside Home and also did private duty nursing. She was a member of Townville Baptist Church and for 50 years was a member of Meadville Grange.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Doris) Cooper of Cooperstown; three sons, Harold and Carl Hopkins of Titusville and Robert Hopkins of Meadville; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Lawrence Proper.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Troy Center Cemetery.
