Allen Britton
August 15, 1880 — November 9, 1965
Allen Britton, 85, a resident of the County Home for 11 years, died at its hospital Tuesday, November 9, 1965, after an illness of several years.
He was born near Guys Mills August 15, 1880, a son of John and Helen Hall Britton, and was married to Alice Guenon.
Mr. Britton was an employee of the State Highways Department for many years.
Surviving are a brother, Lee of Canadensis; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Laura Britton of Meadville; a granddaughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Frances) Steele of Meadville; three great-granddaughters, Mrs. Ronald (Sandra) Wentworth of Meadville, Linda and Carol Steele of Meadville; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
