Anna L. Duffy

Mrs. Anna L. Duffy, 96, a resident of the United Methodist Nursing Home since 1959, died at home Tuesday, May 6, 1975, after a long illness.  A former resident of Sigel, Clarion County, she had been hospitalized one month.

Born in Cooksburg, Clarion County, on March 10, 1879, she was a daughter of James and Ella Agnew Buzard.  In 1925, she married John E. Duffy who died in 1931.  Mrs. Duffy formerly was employed as a bookkeeper by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and also worked as a practical nurse.  She was a member of Sigel United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women and of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a brother, Edward Buzard of Strattonville; several nieces and nephews and a grandson, Carl Koehler of Akron.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Sigel.
