Anna May Eccles

Anna May Eccles, 87, of Meadville, died at home, Sunday, January 28, 2001.

She was born in Meadville, May 11, 1913, a daughter of the late Samuel Richard and Anna May Burkhardt Hazelhurst.  She married Walter J. Eccles, July 19, 1937 and he preceded her in death March 16, 1994.

She was a homemaker and had also worked in the payroll office of the Keystone View Co.  She was a 1931 graduate of Meadville High School, a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, its choir and pianist.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles and crafts and she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include two sons, Daryl Eccles (Annette) of Saegertown and David W. Eccles (Melanie) of Cochranton; a daughter, Doris M. Kyllonen (Emil) of Houston, TX; two sisters, Carolyn Molnar of New Richmond and Leona Fitch of Harborcreek; a brother, Richard S. Hazelhurst of Meadville; eight grandchildren, Beth VanDusen, Erik Spencer, Daniel Eccles, Adam Eccles, Ian Eccles, Nicole Eccles, Ian Ritcher and Aubrey Ritcher; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Erin April Spencer and a grandson, Robert Wayne Eccles.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Huber Cemetery, Union Township.
