Anna Jane Pierce

Mrs. Anna Jane Pierce, 78, widow of Joseph J. Pierce, former Cussewago Township resident, died Wednesday night at the home of a grandson, Wilbur Pierce, Vernon Township.

She spent the early part of her life in Allegheny County.  She was a member of the Marion Presbyterian Church, Fayette County.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Gruber of Venangoboro and Mrs. Bessie Doyle of Charleroi; three sons, Richard W. Pierce of Elizabeth, Charles L. Pierce of Meadville and William Pierce of Blooming Valley; a sister, Mrs. William Condie of Monongahela City; a brother, Thomas Byers of Brownsville; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Taylor Cemetery, Allegheny County.
