Anne Gray

Anne Gray, 82, of Meadville, died Saturday, March 11, 1989, at Meadville Medical Center.

Mrs. Gray was born in Nottinghamshire, England, October 14, 1906, a daughter of R. Vicar and Florence Kate Ansdell McCallum.  She married Walter B. Gray, November 26, 1930.  He preceded her in death March 27, 1948.

She and her husband owned and operated the former Gray's Lamplighter and the former Jameson Hotel.  She also was self-employed as an interior decorator for 27 years.  She subsequently was employed as an accountant-bookkeeper at Griffin Motors.  She was a member of Christ Church Episcopal.

Survivors include one son, James Gray of San Mateo, CA; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one sister.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in California.
