Arden J. Betts

Arden J. Betts, 67, of Meadville, died at home suddenly Wednesday, April 5, 2000.

He was born in Conneaut Lake, March 12, 1933, a son of Arden D. & Cora Shipman Betts.

He had been employed at Motor Home Manufacturing and the Street Department of Elkhart, IN for 20 years.  He had served an enlistment with the US Air Force, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Betts of Elkhart and Cristine Betts of Pittsburgh; two sons, Marshall Betts of California and Fred Betts of Elkhart; four sisters, Ruth Simms of Elkhart, Betty Southworth of Meadville, Leah Chupp of Elkhart and Sadie Craig of Derby, NY; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Leona Williams and Willie Ann Scheckler and one brother, David Betts.

Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.
