Arthur Bates Webb

Arthur Bates Webb, 67, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Friday, March 13, 1970, after an illness of one year.

He was born in Meadville August 10, 1902, a son of Curtis L. and Josephine Bates Webb.  He married the former Janet Currie June 28, 1933.

Mr. Webb was a retired employee of the J. H. Getty Construction Co. After his retirement, he served on the Woodcock Township Board of Supervisor.

He was a graduate of Meadville High School and a 1924 graduate of Allegheny College.  Mr. Webb was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, are four sisters, Mrs. Paul Campbell of Media, Miss Mary Jane Webb and Miss Helen Webb, both of Meadville and Mrs. Frank Hart of Ridgewood, NJ and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
