Augusta Elizabeth Frampton

Mrs. Augusta Elizabeth Frampton, 91, died Wednesday, September 30, 1970, at the Methodist Home for the Aged, Meadville.

She was born near Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, on March 29, 1879, a daughter of Lewis and Sarah C. Henry Elbel.  She married the Rev. James W. Frampton in 1903.  Mrs. Frampton served with her husband on a number of circuits of the former Erie Methodist Conference for 43 years.

Mrs. Frampton was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Punxsutawney.  She taught school in Jefferson County in the late 1890s and early 1900s.

Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Kenneth O. Brown of Ellwood City and nephew, Roy E. Elbel of Rockford, IL.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Hamilton Cemetery, Jefferson County.
