Bertha E. Sanders

Mrs. Bertha E. Sanders, 78, of Meadville, died Sunday morning, June 17, 1962, at City Hospital following an illness of several months.

She was born in Randolph Township, April 17, 1884, a daughter of Gustavus and Eliza Utley Bentley and married the late Col. James A. Sanders.

She moved to Meadville following the death of her husband and daughter, Elizabeth.  During most of her married life she lived to Illinois.

Mrs. Sanders was a member of Stone Methodist Church, its Woman's Society of Christian Service, Mead Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and Meadville Grange.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mabel J. Lingo of Conneautville and Mrs. Myrtle M. Boyd of Guys Mills; one niece, Mrs. Boyd (Ruth) Palmer of Roslyn, Long Island, NY and three nephews, Chester B. Lingo of Conneautville; Howard B. Boyd of Guys Mills and James E. Boyd of Meadville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Beech Grove Cemetery, Munice, IL.
