Bertha M .Rodgers

Mrs. Bertha M. Rodgers, 84, died at her home at Hyattsville, MD, Tuesday, August 25, 1970, after an illness of several years.

She was born at Blooming Valley December 10, 1885, a daughter of Arthur D. and Margaret Peterson Snyder.  She was the widow of Clark Rodgers.  They operated a farm in the Blooming Valley area for many years.  Mrs. Rodgers was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary L. Maloney of Cheverly, MD; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Dengler of Blooming Valley; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. Clifford Sutliff; four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
