Bessie M. Muir
July 22, 1889 — October 4, 1974
Mrs. Bessie M. Muir, 85, of Meadville, died at Flickinger's Convalescent Home Friday, October 4, 1974, after an extended illness.
She was born at Sharon, July 22, 1889, a daughter of Frederick W. and Emma Hilands Scragg. Married June 4, 1913, to George L. Muir, he died in 1960. A member of Stone United Methodist Church, she was a member of the church's United Methodist Women. She was a member of Golden Crown Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and a past noble grand of Myrtle Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include three sons, Dr. Robert D. Muir of Glenview, IL, James F. Muir of Meadville, Dr. William H. Muir of Northfield, Minn., and six grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
