Blanche D. Smith

Mrs. Blanche S. Smith, 88, of Woodcock Township, Meadville, died at her home suddenly on Wednesday, July 10, 1974.

She was born in Woodcockboro on February 3, 1886, a daughter of Ruric and Lilly Hites Douglas.  On November 22, 1910, she married G. Sheldon Smith who died in 1952.  Mrs. Smith attended the Meadville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and was a member of Randolph Grange.

Survivors include a son, Edgar D. Smith of Meadville and a granddaughter, Miss Becky Smith.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Bessie Briggs and a brother, Ray Douglas.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
