Mrs. Blanche Pardoe, 88, of the Home for the Aged, died Saturday, July 22, 1961, at Spencer Hospital following a short illness. She had lived at the home for about 12 years and had been hospitalized about four weeks.
She was born at Harmonsburg, March 15, 1873, a daughter of George B. and Nancy J. McMillin Luper and married the late Edwin Olin Pardoe. She made her home at Harrisburg for about 60 years.
She was a member of Stone Methodist Church, of which her ancestors were among the founders, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are several nephews and cousins.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
