Burke W. Hudson

Burke W. Hudson, 80, of Meadville, a retired Talon, Inc. foreman, died Sunday, July 26, 1992, at his home following an extended illness.

He was born February 15, 1912, in Greenbank, WV, a son of the late Jesse and Bessie Sheets Hudson.  He married Pauline Mears August 15, 1935.  She preceded him in death July 9, 1969.  He subsequently married Charlotte Grundy Webb July 1, 1970.  She survives.

He worked as a chain machine foreman at Talon, Inc. and retired after 38 years of service.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and held various offices in the church.  He was also a member of the Crawford Masonic Lodge 234 and Meadville Eagles Aerie 429.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one stepson, Jim Hollabaugh of Meadville; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Lee (Maxine) Longstreth of Goose Creek, SC, Jean Boyle of Saegertown and Kathryn Greathouse of Pontiac, MI; one sister, Wilma Smith of Meadville; two nieces and two nephews; plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Jewel Nugent.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
