C. Hale Jenkins

C. Hale Jenkins, age 85, of Evans City, and formerly of Conneaut Lake passed away on Saturday evening July 11, 2026, in UPMC Passavant.

He was born in Bellevue, PA on July 10, 1941, the son of Charles and Lucy (Williams) Jenkins.

He was a graduate of South Hills High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in history and Secondary Education from Grove City College in 1963. He later received his Ph.D. in Educational Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1978.

Hale was employed as a School Administrator with the Shaler Area School District for 22 years, retiring in 1993. Prior to his administrative career, he was a teacher in the Swissvale Area School District.

He was a charter member of the Conneaut Lake Area Historical Society, a member of the Pennsylvania State School Administrators Retirees and the Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall Station #5.

Hale enjoyed taking care of his home and gardening and working with the Conneaut Lake Area Historical Society.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Ann Quigley Jenkins; and his two daughters, Lori Ann Hensler (Richard) of North Huntington, PA, Kellee Lynne Reid (Jason) of Salisbury, MD.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Charlee Jenkins Keller and brother in law David Keller.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake.
