Carl L. Pirro

Carl L. Pirro, age 85, of Meadville, formerly of Saegertown, passed away Friday evening March 13, 2026, in his residence.

He was born in Corry on April 3, 1940, the son of Carlo and Carmella (Martino) Pirro.

He was a 1958 graduate of Corry Area High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University at Buffalo in 1962. He also continued his education at Gannon University, studying Electronic Couriers. In addition, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.

On September 25, 1965, Carl married the former Joan C. Garrison, she survives.

Carl was employed at Spectrum Control as a distributor sales manager for 18 years and then was the owner/operator of Multi Phase Components for 10 years.

He was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing and sports.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by two children, Dana Deissler and her husband Scott of Meadville, Steven Pirro of Plano, TX; two grandchildren, John Deissler and his wife Bethany of Danville, PA, Megan Deissler of D.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, Angelina Hajec, Jane Jaworski, Carmella Kovach, Mary Pirro, Jeannette Pirro; two brothers, Joseph Pirro and twin brother, John Pirro.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, with Father Mark Hoffman officiating. Inurnment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
