Carole L. Horne

Carole L. Horne, age 87, of Atlantic passed away Wednesday evening January 29, 2025, in UPMC Hamot, Erie.

She was born in Meadville on June 4, 1937, the daughter of Gerald and Arlene (Lindsay) Young. She married L. Wade Horne on October 20, 1956. Carole loved horses and worked part-time for 15 years at the Conneaut Lake Daycare.

She is survived by her husband Wade of 68 years, four children, Daryl Horne of Atlantic, Rod Horne and wife Ann of Espyville, Alan Horne and wife Maggie of Sharpsville, and Kim Mead and husband Randy of Conneaut Lake: grandchildren, Krista and Dalton Mead, and Kenny Vakasy, great-grandsons, Walker Mead and Wyatt Vakasy; two sisters, Barbara Hoskin and Jane Webb both of Linesville and one brother Jim Young and his wife Mary of Conneaut Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.
