Catherine L. Schutz

Catherine L. Schutz, 83, of Meadville, a retired employee of Wilson Building Supply Co., died Friday, October 26, 1990, at Meadville Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born in Hayfield Township, September 8, 1907, a daughter of William H. and Mary Wood Wilson, Sr.  She married Ralph L. Schutz on June 30, 1936.  He survives.

She worked for a number of years as a substitute teacher, worked briefly at Hookless Fastener, and retired from Wilson Building Supply Co.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Women.  She was a graduate of Edinboro State Normal School and was a member of Woodcock Grange.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Walter E. and Kenneth M. Schutz, both of Meadville; one sister, Mrs. Maurice (Alice) Brawley of Meadville; three brothers, George R. and John R. Wilson of Saegertown and William H. Wilson of Meadville; one aunt, several nieces and nephews, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
