Charles L. Hills

Charles L. Hills, 81, a resident of Crawford County Home for seven years, died at Smith Institute, Saegertown, Saturday, January 22, 1966, after a long illness.

He was born at Lyona, Richmond Township, Crawford County, June 20, 1884, a son of Mark and Lydia Blackmore Hills and married Rose Spencer December 16, 1907.

Mr. Hills was employed as a farmer near Blooming Valley and in more recent years worked at Blooming Valley Nursery.  He was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leona Postlewaith of Cleveland; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Pearl) Landfried and Mrs. Chase (Ruby) Groce of Greenville; a brother, Marshall Hills of Meadville; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lyona Cemetery.
