Charles L. Sanford, Jr.

Charles L. Sanford, Jr., 88, of Asheville, NC, formerly of Meadville, died Tuesday, April 18, 1995.
He was born in Jackson County, WV, a son of Charles P. and Mary Mendel Sanford. He married Emily McKinney. She survives.
He was a retired chain machine operator of Talon, Inc.
He was a member of Skyland United Methodist Church and served as a cub master for 23 years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Charles R. Sanford of Kennesaw, GA and Thomas J. Sanford of Hopkins, SC; two daughters, Kathryn Kirk of Hickory, NC and Roberta Kendall of Houston, TX; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
