Charles Louis Ziccardi

October 20, 1929 — April 2, 2022

Charles (Charlie) Louis Ziccardi, 92, of West Middlesex formerly Hermitage passed away surrounded by family, Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Marquette Hospice House, Meadville after a brief illness.

He was born October 20, 1929 in Mercer, a son of John Baptiste and Frances Edith McNeish Ziccardi.

Charlie was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1948-1950.  He worked for Westinghouse 1950-1972 and then owned and operated Ziccardi Real Estate and Appraisal Services until 2015.

Surviving are Pam Mickley, his best friend, loving partner and soul mate of West Middlesex; his son, Joseph (Arlene) Ziccardi of Conneaut Lake, who he loved and was so proud of.  Also surviving are grandsons, Chad Cremonese and Travis (Lauren) Cremonese and great grandchildren, Anita, Lukas and Evan Cremonese all of Colorado; his brother, Jack Ziccardi of Hermitage; his sister, Charlotte Dilley of Sharon and various nephews and nieces.  Surviving also are Susan Garrett and Danny Grundy of West Middlesex who he considered his sister and brother in laws.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothy Ziccardi and his brother, Norman Ziccardi.

Charlie and Pam were together for 31 years and enjoyed traveling together especially spending winters in Florida for many years.  They also had a wonderful trip to Italy with Pam’s niece and nephew Meleny and Frank.  Some of the best memories are of Sundays in Conneaut Lake with Joe, Arlene and friends, boating along Conneaut Lake, looking at the beautiful homes Joe (Ziccardi Builders) constructed and then eating meals at their home.  Previously Charlie, Pam, Joe and Arlene had a boat (Knotty Angel) in Erie on the bay and spent many weekends boating with the many friends they made up there.

Pam and Joe would like to thank the staff at UPMC Farrell ER and especially UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pavilion North 4th floor for the excellent care given Charlie and Pam during the week spent there.  They would also like to thank Dr. Kevin Kraeling of Meadville for his support and coordinating the move to Marquette Hospice House where Charlie received exceptional care during his time there.

Per Charlie’s wishes, there will be no services.
