Charles O. (Dick) Mohnkern

Charles (Dick) O. Mohnkern, 82, of Meadville, died at home Wednesday, August 5, 1981, after a sudden illness.

He was born at Philadelphia January 18, 1899, a son of Charles O. and Margaret C. O'Hanlon Mohnkern.  He moved to the Oil City area early in his life, and to Meadville in 1929.  He married Marian Wimmer October 26, 1940.

He was employed as a tool and die maker by Talon, Division of Textron, for 35 years until his retirement in 1964.

He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and a World War I veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Margaret Mohnkern of Oil City and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
