Clara L. Walker
October 14, 1885 — May 24, 1974
Mrs. Clara L. Walker, 88, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Guys Mills, died at Lakeland General Hospital, Friday, May 24, 1974. She and her husband would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary today. They were married May 25, 1904.
Born in Wayne Township, October 14, 1885, she was a daughter of Phillip and Anna Bower Huber. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Lakeland; a member of Lakeland Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; a member of the Disabled American Veterans Aux.; Polk County Senior Citizens and Randolph Grange.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John (Clarice) Houser of Lakeland; four sons, Hubert C. and Maurice P. Walker of Lakeland, Norman B. Walker of Hudson, OH and Laddie O. Walker of Meadville; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A son, Wayne, preceded her in death.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
