Clara M. Carpenter

Mrs. Clara M. Carpenter died Sunday, September 17, 1967, at the Methodist Home for the Aged, where she had been a resident for several years.
Mrs. Carpenter was born in Clarks Mills, a daughter of William and Sara Jane Roof Boyd. She attended public school in Mercer County and the Academy at Greenville.
She was married to Dr. James H. Carpenter, a dentist in New Castle, where she lived until 1955. Dr. Carpenter died in 1937.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church in New Castle and the Wimodosis of New Castle.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. C. S. Stuckenholt, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Murchie and Mrs. Bess Tribby.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Oak Park Cemetery.
