Clara S. Collins

Mrs. Clara S. Collins, 89, widow of Lewis D. Collins, died Wednesday, November 5, 1958, at the Heaster Convalescent Home, Conneautville, where she had been a patient three months.

She had lived in Meadville, since 1937.  She was born March 22, 1869, at Canandiagua, NY, a daughter of Lewis Gunn and Sarah Crittenden Steele.

She had been employed six years as a house mother at Batavia, NY, Young Women's Christian Assn. before moving to Meadville.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Priscillas and Women's Assn. of the church, the Study Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Surviving are a daughter, Miss Christina Collins of Meadville; a son, Lewis S. of Rochester, NY; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Grandview Cemetery.
