Clarence Benjamin Mitchell
May 26, 1889 — January 21, 1977
Clarence Benjamin Mitchell, 87, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Meadville, died at Lakeland Hospital Friday, January 21, 1977, after a short illness.
He was born in Fredonia, Mercer County, May 26, 1889, a son of W. Benton and Margaret Rose Mitchell. He married Catherine Haury of Meadville in 1935. She died in 1967. Mr. Mitchell retired in 1954 from American Viscose Co. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two brothers, Chester S. of Cambridge Springs and Robert E. Mitchell of El Monte, CA; one niece and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
