Clarence E. (Bugs) Hollabaugh, 82, of Meadville, a retired Erie Railroad engineer, died at home on Thursday, April 4, 1991, after a one-year illness.
He was born at Frenchtown on June 15, 1908, a son of Frank and Tillie Bartholomew Hollabaugh. He married Margaret Whistler, November 1, 1934. She preceded him in death July 13, 1967. He subsequently married Kathryn H. Stainbrook, November 25, 1970. She survives.
He was a retired engineer from the Erie Railroad with 30 years service, and was also a dealer in raw furs for 40 years. He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. Burton (Dorothy) Battista of Meadville; a son, Albert Hollabaugh of Cumming, GA; a step-daughter, Doris Loper of Meadville; three step-sons, Robert Stainbrook of Troutman, NC, Donald Stainbrook of Cooperstown and Richard Stainbrook of Altoona; two sisters, Goldie Morrell of Meadville and Ruth Garwood of Linesville; a brother, Robert Hollabaugh of Conneaut Lake; six grandchildren and thirteen step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Finch and a brother, Lloyd Hollabaugh.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Agatha Cemetery.
