Clayton W. Beardsley

Clayton W. Beardsley, 68, of Guys Mills, died Tuesday, July 1, 1969, at Spencer Hospital where he had been a patient for a week.

He was born in Sharon, April 3, 1901, a son of Frank W. and Nancy May Wheeler Beardsley.  He married Florence Grettler, April 4, 1923.

Mr. Beardsley was a chain machine operator for Talon, Inc., for more than 30 years, retiring in 1966.  He was a veteran of World War I, serving with Company B, 112th Infantry Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard, in Europe.  He was a member of the Societedes Fismes, also known as the Last Man's Club, and Blooming Valley United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (June) Beerbower of Meadville; a son, Frank of North Highlands, CA; a half sister, Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Harvey of Pettis; a brother, Ralph Beardsley of Conneautville, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Service were held at Waid Funeral home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
