Clifford D. Klinko

Clifford D. Klinko, 75, formerly of Blooming Valley, was released from his final pain to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday May 26, 2005, at his home in Ft.Worth, Texas, after a long and courageous battle with cancer and heart disease.

He was born in Johnson City, NY May 19, 1930, a son of Richard & Ruth DeGrout Klinko.  He was formerly married to Dorothy Coons, now deceased, and subsequently married Clara Campbell Hogan, Aug. 13, 1994, and she survives.

He had retired from Conrail in Meadville, and subsequently worked for Peterson’s Auto Supply for 10 years.

He had been a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church, and was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church of Ft.Worth.  He was a 20-year member of Elks Lodge #219, Saegertown American Legion Post # 205, a member of Masonic Lodge #234, and a former member of W. Mead Vol. Fire Dept. and Vernon Vol. Fire Co.  He served one enlistment with the U. S. Navy from 1947 to 1950.

Survivors in addition to his wife include 1 daughter, Gail Smith and her husband Richard of Meadville, 2 step-daughters, Deborah Sue Lauer of Cochranton, and Kimberly Ruth Swanson and her husband Dean of Saginaw, TX, 1 step-son, Michael Hogan and his wife Terry of N. Cambria, PA, 2 grandsons, Chris King and his wife Jen of Conneaut Lake, and Chad King and his wife Rachelle of Franklin, 1 granddaughter, Deni Rebecca McEntee, TX, 9 step-grandchildren, Tim Lauer and his wife Valerie, Jon Lauer, Chris Lauer, Ashley Hogan, Russell Hogan, Jeffrey Hogan, Maggie Clara Hogan, Steven Maine, and Joseph Maine, 3 great grandchildren, Brandon King, Emily King, and Natasha King, 3 sisters, Barbara Warner, Sandra Moshier and her husband Charles, and Margaret (Peggy) Planosky, 4 brothers, Kenneth Klinko and his wife Sandra, Richard Klinko and his wife Chris, David Klinko and his wife Beverly, and James Klinko, and his wife Betty, his brother-in-law John Campbell and his wife Sue of Greeley, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, 1 daughter, Diane Klinko McEntee, and 2 sisters, Nancy K. Bonsell, and Ruth K. Semko.

Calling hours will be Saturday June 11, 2005, at Blooming Valley United Methodist Church, Blooming Valley, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., with an American Legion service at 2:00 p.m. and an Elks service at 3:00 p.m. and the Memorial Service to follow  with the Rev. Christine Rogan, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Allen Jones, former pastor.
