Daisy L. Rose, 91, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since 1987, a retired licensed practical nurse, died Thursday, November 14, 1991, at Wesbury after a period of declining health.
She was born in New Hamburg, Mercer County, December 25, 1899, a daughter of Joshua and Emma Hawks Homer.
She retired in 1965 as a private duty licensed practical nurse from a hospital in Long Beach, CA, a community in which she had lived for 40 years. She was a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Meadville. She was a member of Emera Chapter, Order of Eastern Star of Long Beach; and the AARP.
Survivors include two sons, Harry E. Rose of Meadville and Carl W. Rose of Geneva, OH; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Russell Rose and two brothers, Wade and William Homer.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Delaware Cemetery, Mercer County.
