David C. Mcmillin

David C. McMillin, 62, of Midlothian, VA and a former resident of Pittsburgh and vacation resident of Conneaut Lake, died Monday, May 29, 2006 at his residence following an unexpected illness.

He was born in Pittsburgh August 23, 1943, a son of the late Chalmers and Adele Eichele McMillin.  He married Sandra Wachter October 7, 1967.

He was a graduate of Slippery Rock University where he received a degree in Secondary Education.  He subsequently received a Masters Degree in Chemistry from Purdue University.  He worked as a chemistry teacher in the Pittsburgh public schools for 28 years.  He was a member of the American Chemistry Society and especially loved spending time at Conneaut Lake.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Sandra of 39 years, include a son, Dean McMillin and his wife Tracey of Easton; a daughter, Colleen McMillin and her fiancé Jeremy Hartzell of Pittsburgh; a brother, James McMillin and his wife Luann of Pittsburgh; and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake.

A funeral service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
