David Paul Paddock

David P. Paddock Sr., 77, of Grove City, passed away peacefully with family members at his side on April 26, 2026, at Quality Life Services in Grove City, following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

David was born on February 23, 1949, in Mercer, Pennsylvania. He was a 1967 graduate of Lakeview High School and worked for many years before retiring from Time Warner Cable, serving the Hermitage, PA, and Warren, OH, areas.

David enjoyed music and all things outdoors and was known as a jokester by many. He was a devoted fan of Pittsburgh sports, proudly following the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. In his later years, he especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David, affectionately known as “Papa,” is survived by his wife, Eileen (Beach) Paddock, of Grove City, PA; his stepsons, Charles Smith (wife Barb), of Zephyrhills, FL, and Scott Smith, of Grove City, PA; his step-grandchildren, Nicole (Smith) Shetter (husband Anthony), Zac Smith, Logan Smith (wife Emily), and Sean Smith; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Hailey, Evaleigh, Vivienne, and Cyrus. He is also survived by his nephew, Dennis Westcott (wife Dawna) of Mercer, PA, as well as other family members from whom he was estranged. 

He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Iris Madelyn, at birth. David was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace “Bill” and Wilmette Paddock; his sister, Carol Stevens; his brother-in-law, Don Stevens; and his nephew, Kristopher Westcott.

A memorial service will be planned at a later time.
