David W. Pratt

David W. (Bubba) Pratt, 61, of Blooming Valley, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous battle with Scleroderma. He was born July 2, 1960 in Meadville, a son of William C. (Bill) and Elaine J. Smith Pratt. He married Teresa Foster May 10, 1980. Dave was a 1979 graduate of Maplewood High School and the Crawford County Vocational Technical School Auto Body program. He worked at Greenleaf Corporation for 37 years as a machinist and supervisor. Dave had been affiliated with Blooming Valley United Methodist Church. He loved spending time with his family and being involved with his grandchildren. He enjoyed many years of dirt track racing, riding ATVs and motorcycles, camping, hunting, making maple syrup, and you could always find him tinkering in the garage. Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Teresa, include two children, Megan Pratt (Craig Curry) and Kyle Pratt (Pam), all of Blooming Valley; four grandchildren, Brantley, Leah, Raelynn, and Kinsley; his mother, Elaine Pratt (companion, Christian Kuiphoff) of Blooming Valley; a sister, Rev. Christine Rogan (Mike) of Blooming Valley; three brothers, Rick Pratt (companion, Liz) of Meadville, Randy Pratt (Marlene) of Meadville, and Mike Pratt (Julie) of Blooming Valley; his mother-in-law, Clara Foster of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; a sister-in-law, Ruth Pratt; and a niece, Lisa Pratt. Family and friends will be received Sunday, January 9th from 2-5 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. The funeral service will be Monday, January 10th at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Christine Rogan, Daves sister, officiating.
