Deborah A. Bowler, age 72, of Sheets Rd., Guys Mills passed away peacefully on Sunday morning August 11, 2024, in her residence surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Meadville on November 15, 1951, a daughter of Richard F. and Sally (Fordham) Swavey. She attended St. Brigids Primary School and graduated from Cochranton High School in 1970. No stranger to hard work, she started waitressing at just 12 years old at Kerrs Restaurant which later became Dantes and continued working various jobs before pursuing her true passion in fashion at Weldons Clothing Store and Kindlers Crawford Boutique. She never lost that love of fashion, always carrying herself with elegance, whether at work or on a quick trip to the grocery store. On August 6, 1995, Debbie married David Bowler and shortly after the two of them set up upon a successful decade-long shared journey by blending their professional and personal lives when Debbie joined David as a partner at Bowlers Jewelry Store. Debbie will always be remembered by her family members, customers, and all those who met her for her warm interactions and exceptional listening skills. She cherished the moments spent with others, especially those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 29 years, she is survived by two daughters, Carrie Davis and her husband Jeff Frantz of Townville, Sarah Miller and her husband Aaron of Meadville; three step-daughters, Vicki Sorice of Franklin, Julie Gilbert of Charleston, SC, and Sandi Shivley of New Castle; two brothers, Dana Swavey and his wife Alice of Cochranton, and Scott Swavey and his wife Lori of Meadville; a sister, Christine Guthrie of Cochranton; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bonecutter and her husband Brandon, Parker Frantz, Madison Haskins and her husband Zachary, and Melanie Boyer; seven step-grandchildren, David, Steven, and Brittany Shannon, Taylor and Ashley Gilbert, Matthew and Brooklyn Miller; four great-grandchildren, Sadie and Memphis Bonecutter, Milo Peeples, and Callum Haskins; seven step great-grandchildren, Alexis, Elysia, Zyair, Atlas, Jasper, Madaline, and Liam. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law Harry Guthrie.
