Deforrest Smith

DeForrest Smith, 71, died Sunday at Spencer Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Smith, except for a few years spent in the oil fields, lived his entire life in the Blooming Valley community.  His wife died about five months ago.

Surviving are four sons, Floyd S. of Powhatan Point, OH, Laban and Arthur of Blooming Valley and Wellington of the USS Nashville; a sister, Mrs. L. B. Todd of Pittsburgh; a brother, McClelland Smith of Fostoria, OH and six grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
