Dennis L. Carlson

Dennis L. Carlson, age 74, of Meadville, passed away Saturday morning April 25, 2026, in St. Vincent Hospital, Erie from complications from surgery.

He was born in Bradford, PA on October 15, 1951, a son of Richard W. and Marilyn J. (Duggan) Carlson.

He was a 1969 graduate of Meadville High School and received his bachelor degree of Arts from Edinboro University.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, and golfing with friends, spending time with family and attending sporting events. Dennis was a talented artist and excelled at painting and photography. He also treasured any opportunities he got to spend time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Hastings and her fiancé Greg Toth of Franklin; a son, Kevin Carlson and his wife Rachel of Pittsburgh; a brother, Larry Carlson and his wife Heather of Stow, OH; his companion, Martha MacLaren of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Amanda, Dylan, Parker, and Finn; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Chase Carlson, two sisters Molly Carlson and Martha Carlson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday 5-22-26 at 12:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday 5-22-26 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
