Don Harold Pettit

Don Harold Pettit died on April 19, 2024, in Charlottesville, VA.
He was born in Meadville, PA on February 20, 1935, a son of Harold Rudolph and Dacie L. (Smale) Pettit. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Shirley Virginia Pettit Roy.
Don married Jill Nunn and is survived by his wife; a son, Don Bradley (Tracy) Pettit; a daughter, Laura Dacie Pettit; granddaughters, Elizabeth Pettit (Davis Krebs); Erin (Jon) Schmertzler; Jill and Ella Lindbergh; and grandson, Cutter (Grace) Lindbergh; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Don graduated from The Ohio State University and Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he received training in his lifelong profession.
A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Keswick, VA.
Burial will take place in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville, PA
