Donald C. Burchfield

It is with sadness that the family of Donald C. Burchfield, age 93, of Conneaut Lake, announce his passing on March 22, 2026.

Donald was born on October 9, 1932, in Geneva, PA, the son of Ronald and Velma (Bossard) Burchfield.

Donald was a lifelong business owner of Harned Oil Company. Don loved flying his airplane and taking his family to Florida several times a year. He enjoyed hunting, especially in Montana and driving his gator around his property, Sunrise Sunset. Donald loved a good round of golf, as a previous member of the Country Club and Tequesta County Club in Florida. He was a Mason and member of the Iroquois Club. Don was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake.

Don married the former Joyce Harned, she passed away in 1994; subsequently, he married the former Virginia Campbell Horton, she passed away August 31, 2025.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Burchfield of Meadville and Mark McHale of Canfield, OH; a daughter, Ann Galford (Gary) of Meadville; two grandchildren, Jacqueline Galford of Pittsburgh, Eileen McHale of Canfield, OH; a great granddaughter Reagan Elizabeth Brougher; several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, a loving daughter Debbie Burchfield Clouse in 2005, a brother Ronald Burchfield, and a sister Evelyn Burchfield.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 1:30 PM in First Presbyterian Church, 145 S. 5th Street, Conneaut Lake with Rev. Sam Heagy, pastor of the church, officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a donation be given to First Presbyterian Church, 145 S. 5th Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
