Dorothy G. Hamilton

Dorothy G. Hamilton, 74, of Meadville, died Sunday, November 19, 1995, at Crawford County Care Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Meadville on April 12, 1921, a daughter of Clyde and Elizabeth Lemon Bradshaw.  She married Francis W. Hamilton on April 12, 1943.  He survives.

Mrs. Hamilton was a graduate of Meadville High School and worked as a beautician at Vera Coyles Beaty Shop in Erie for several years after she was married.  She was a volunteer with the READ Program of Meadville Public Library, participated in a Sunday bowling league, and enjoyed ceramics, making afghans and being a homemaker.  She was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband include, one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Phyllis) Cousins of Binghamton, NY; six sons, Karl E. of Arlington, VA, Gene A. of Saegertown, Gary L. of Charleroi, Dean E. of Belen, NM, John D. of Virginia Beach and Glen M. of Meadville; three brothers, Clarence (Bus) Bradshaw of Erie, Bruce Bradshaw of Meadville and Stanley Bradshaw of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. James (Ruth) Wenzel of Saegertown and Mrs. Robert (Susie) Steinerr of Blooming Valley; and twelve grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
