Dorothy J. Haugh, age 98, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday Morning, January 13, 2026, in Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.
She was born in Meadville on June 8, 1927, the daughter of Arthur John and Ester (Stafford) Sullivan and on June 29, 1945, Dorothy married Rev. Richard C. Haugh, he passed away on September 6, 2008.
Dorothy was a 1945 graduate of Meadville High School. She was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Clint Logan and Dr. Tom Kellogg and also dedicated many years to her role as a homemaker.
She was actively involved in the community, serving as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader alongside her daughter, Donna, and as a Cub Scout leader with her son, Chuck. In addition, she taught Sunday School for many years.
Dorothy enjoyed crafts, adult coloring books, music, and sewing, and she especially valued time spent with her family.
She is survived by a son, Charles P. Haugh of Cambridge Springs; two grandchildren, Kelly Ann Wintemute and her husband William of Corry, Chad Alan Haugh and his wife Megan of Edinboro; three great grandchildren, Jacob Thomas Haugh, Emma Grace Haugh, and Owen Lee Wintemute; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sister, Betty Jean Mattern, twin brothers, William A. and Robert P. Sullivan, daughter, Donna J. Haugh, and daughter-in- law, Judi Haugh.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 581 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Sam Marchetta, officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
