Dorothy Louise Peters, 92, of Meadville, a homemaker, died Tuesday, April 7, 1992, at Wesbury United Methodist Community following a long illness.
She was born in Hickernell, October 10, 1899, a daughter of Elmer E. and Ida O. Rice Wiard. She married Francis S. Peters, May 29, 1923. He preceded her in death February 25, 1972.
A homemaker, she previously worked for several years as a governess in Buffalo, NY. She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 111 Aux. in Meadville, the YWCA and the Cake and Craft Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mitylene) Becker of Oklahoma City, OK; a son, Glenn E. Peters of Meadville; two nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Strauss and a brother, E. E. (Ted) Wiard.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
