Dorothy R. Wickliffe

Dorothy R. Wickliffe, 94, of Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville, and formerly of Fort Wayne, IN, died Friday, January 22, 1999, at her residence, following a period of declining health.

She was born in Leipsic, OH, April 4, 1904, a daughter of John R. and Emma Feight Schey.  She married Ross A. Wickliffe.  He preceded her in death.

Over the years, she worked as a seamstress.  She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, of Fort Wayne, where she had also been a church organist.

Survivors include a son, Jack D. Smith of Akron, OH; a daughter, June V. Kleeman of Meadville; a step-daughter, Marjorie Elzey of Knightstown, IN; two step-sons, Wayne Wickliffe of Tocsin, IN and Forrest Wickliffe of Payne, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Hosler of Ft. Wayne and a brother, Orville Schey of Denver, CO.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Mildred Krocker and four brothers and a sister.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Ossian, IN.
