E. Roy Murray, 89, a resident of the United Methodist Home since November 1966, died at the home Tuesday, May 9, 1978.
He was born in Rimersburg, Clarion County, December 4, 1888, a son of Wesley and Mary Ann Goodman Murray. He married Mabel Mortimer October 14, 1914. He last was employed as a laborer for PennDOT and previously was employed as a coal miner near Rimersburg. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Cussewago Lodge, IOOF.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Turner of Jamestown and Mrs. Robert (Vae) Batchelor of Williamsport, NY; a son, Cecil of Golden, CO; a sister, Mrs. Olive Lehner of Rimersburg; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Rimersburg Cemetery.
