E. Vera Halfast

Miss E. Vera Halfast, 76, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Thursday morning, July 31, 1958, after a long illness. She had been a resident of Meadville for 15 years and had resided with her brother-in-law, George A. Waters.
She was born in Venango, December 22, 1881, a daughter of Augustus and Mary Jane Coutler Halfast. She was a retired school teacher.
She taught in Pittsburgh public schools for 31 years and in the New Jersey Public school system another 10 years.
She was a graduate of Clarion State Teachers College and a member of the Venango Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, George Waters of Meadville; a sister-in-law, Rachel Halfast of Parkersburg, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Venango Cemetery.
