Edgar D. Smith

Edgar D. Smith, 83, of Meadville, died Tuesday, May 9, 1995, following a brief illness.
He was born in Woodcock Township, September 10, 1912, a son of Sheldon and Blanche Douglas Smith. He married Mildred Lewis, July 25, 1941. She preceded him in death March 12, 1987.
He retired as custodian at Meadville Alliance Church after 15 years. He also worked as custodian at Avtex Fibers, Inc. prior to that and was a farmer in Woodcock Township.
He was a member of Meadville Alliance Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Becky) Kurtz of Meadville and three grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
